We are freaks for creativity
To be obvious, we love design. It’s basically why we got into this business. Any chance we get to express our creativity through our artwork, we take it. We love to put ourselves into situations that inspire us, to capture a momentary experience. We encourage everyone to do the same, whether you enjoy expressing yourself through song, writing, dance, or any other art that brings you joy. When we are able to do these things we enjoy, our brains release a hormone called oxytocin. This fills us with happiness and optimism. Even the simple act of smiling or laughing can release it. That being said, watching our designs come to life brings us an immense amount of joy. From the brainstorming process to the finished product, it is like watching a little bird hatch and take flight. We hope you enjoy our designs as much as we enjoy creating them.
Inspiration through nature
The design for our Chrysalis Tee came from an amazing experience we had while camping in the northeastern US. We love the process of setting up a campsite and launching our kayaks in the water. Releases that oxytocin! Being outdoors helps us to feel connected to each other and to the world around us. Chrysalis is the result of our connection to this earth. Butterflies are a symbol of transition. No matter where we are in life, we are perpetually changing, moving forward. Therefore, as we watched this creature emerge from her chrysalis form, we were reminded of the cycles of life. We must always pay attention to how we are growing and evolving for ourselves and for those around us.
We hope to inspire each of you to take note of your own cycles and stages of growth. As the butterfly goes through immense changes, so do we! And we are always adapting to life’s challenges because of it. Perhaps this tee will bring you a daily reminder of how awesome you are, and to never stop working towards your best self.
